Its core innovation is a term-first architecture: before the LLM generates text, a deterministic NLP engine identifies relevant approved terms (including fuzzy and grammatical variants) by domain/context and “locks” them. The LLM then focuses on tone, grammar, and fluency while Balingo returns structured diffs and reasons for each change to support human-in-the-loop accept/reject workflows. For PPTX/DOCX, Balingo isolates text from the XML layout layer and reinjects validated output back into the original layout, using streaming to reliably handle large files.
